NEW PAINTING Bare Branches

"Bare Branches," 24" x 36" x 1", acrylics and graphite on gallery wrapped canvas, painted around the sides, $1899 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Returning collectors get 10% off. I accept Paypal, personal checks and payment plans. Please message me.

The bird and snow inspired paintings continue. This time around, I invited a polar bear to join in. I need to learn more about the Inuit community and their ties to these bears - someone told me that it's rather mystical. I'd like to understand it better myself - and perhaps that will make me a better painter, too, of these delightfully engaging animals.

Also, Friday (only two more wakeups!!), at 10am eastern, I will be doing a live painting demo in my online classroom. I will have multiple cameras set up (both my easel and palette/work surface), giving each student a front row seat from the comfort of their own home, as I share - with real time q&a - how I respond to my world and turn those experiences and emotions into paintings. This demo is offered via zoom webinars and is exclusive to my Real Time students; participants must have zoom installed on their devices and be enrolled in the Real Time tier of my patreon.

All Real Time online students will have access to watching the demo live, along with a recorded version of the presentation. Real Time participation costs $25/month, and provides students several in person experiences each month (like artist talks, mini workshops and demonstrations), along with access to studio happenings, in process photos, weekly vlogs and everything else noted below. To learn more, visit my Patreon.

(There's also a Studio Visit experience, $15/month, which delivers weekly vlogs, video dissections of work in progress, critiques/takeaways from my learning experiences and other snippets of studio operations.)

And yes, you can join as a Real Timer for just this month, watch the demo, and leave if you wish. However, there will be more demos and talks and other ways to share our love for creating, so I do hope that you stick around.

Thanks for following along on my painting journey.
Stay well,
Fondly, Kim

Lashes and Corkscrews, Buckskin Horse

"Lashes and Corkscrews," 5" x 8", buckskin tobiano curly horse portrait, acrylic on board, $289 to the first taker. Do I see any hands? Inquires to . I really DID intend to paint today, but things got out of hand quickly. I think it was the Snickers bar breakfast that me going in the wrong direction right off the bat. Then the mid-morning helping of caramel corn followed by a Kit-Kat lunch.... straight downhill from there. For the last hour I have had my palette open and the brushes out, but trick-or-treaters are coming thick and heavy, and it's becoming very clear that I will NOT be finishing the sheltie paintings tonight (so sorry JB - they are coming, though!!). Instead I'll share with you a piece I did last week for an art competition. I won't find out about the juror's decision until December, but in the meanwhile, please enjoy Percy, my friend's new gelding. Isn't he a dear?! Be sure to make some time

"Dove 3," 11" x 14", acrylics and pencil on stonehenge paper, small white margin on edges (not pictured), $399 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Inquiries may always come   to me . In between working on commissions, I am continuing my own learning via mentoring sessions with   Anne Siems . I'm also taking   an online workshop with Stanka Kordic.   This piece was a eureka sort of painting in that it begins to meld what I am trying to learn from both these extraordinary women. Someone asked me recently why I study with other artists. It's because I'm never fully satisfied with what I know how to do. There's always people better than me at something or another, and I want to try to peek inside their brain to figure out how they weave their magic. Then I can adapt that to my own goals and style. It would be boring to paint the same way, every day, for eternity. I want to evolve and grow. Always. (and if you feel the same way, maybe you want to   v
