I have always loved losing myself in a good story, and now that I'm painting narratives, I am dreaming up plots all day at the easel, and then I unwind and lose myself in even more of them while curled up with a good read at the end of the day, too.

With this one, the woman has been through a battle, but she's not surrendering, even though she's still navigating uncertainty. Her familiar, the swan, has her back, and symbolizes transformation, trust, and general bas a$$ery. It's a story that parallels a lot of scenarios in the world at the moment - the US election, BLM, COVID..... the list goes on.

I'd love to hear the story this painting tells YOU. Please share!

Perhaps because of all the varying storylines, I'm having a hard time finding a title that suits her. I'm open to suggestions. You can comment over here (on an earlier version of the painting) and share your thoughts.

Thanks, as always, for following along on my art journey,
Warmly, Kim
