Each of my paintings start with a "what if"And Steadfast began with "what if the blue sky inside Fragonard (the painting immediately prior to her start) expanded to fill more of the spirit animal vessel?" I set off to find out what that might look like, and along the way began to ponder about the constants in our lives that we don't really consciously think about.
Like a blue sky. Or feet being rooted to the earth because of gravity. How plants grow towards the light. A loyal friend.
