Inquiries my always come   to me . I went on vacation over the weekend. A getaway that involved airports and a change of climate and unplugging. I was a little hesitant to go, yes because of germs, but also for fear of interrupting the creative momentum I had built up. What I didn't expect was the sheer joy of being in a new space with new things to see and experience and taste. Not having my never ending to do list rattling around in my head. Choosing my mental stimuli with my eyeballs and intentions rather than being fed via a newsfeed. Fresh air. More fresh air.  And returning to the studio with a clear mind. After   painting the owl   who visited me last week, I thought I would see about capturing the herd of deer that bed down in the back of our yard. There was a doe and three half grown fawns/yearlings out there the other morning, the air was hazy and silent, and I got to wondering how many generations of deer had grown up in this small corner of the world. As we approach one year in our new home (how is that even possible?!), I feel such a deep connection to the land. Every window provides a unique view and the property abounds with awe and delight. It's rekindled my childhood love of being outdoors and reveling in the many miracles of Mother Earth. And that has been showin...
