ORDER NOTECARDS/REPRODUCTIONS Tomorrow I kick off my first ever day long painting workshop. I'll take 14 students from the Anchor Bay Artists Guild on an all-day painting marathon! I am really looking forward to this - hope everyone eats their Wheaties!! I'll introduce basic color theory, demonstrate techniques for mixing lively and harmonious color, and show them how to paint with loose, dynamic brush-strokes. I plan on lots of laughter mixed in with the content. One of the exercises we'll do involves learning to see nuanced color in light and dark objects - and this little study I completed is the perfect example of whites not being white and blacks not being black.
