NEW PAINTING Remembered

"Remembered," 11x14, acrylics and graphite on stonehenge cotton paper, $399 plus s&h. I accept Paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Purchase inquiries can always come   to me . This painting is a Celebration of Life in the midst of a pandemic; remembering our world (and rituals) while separated from core practices that connected us to each other. Thanks for following along with my painting journey, Kim

NEW PAINTING Fact Checkers

"Fact Checkers," 18" x 24", acrylics and graphite on Stonehenge paper, $599 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept Paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Please   reach out to me   with inquiries or questions. This photo shows that there is some buckling in the paper - it will take a couple days for that to resolve, as the paint cures and the fibers dry out. I was so excited about this piece though, that I had to share it NOW. This is a breakthrough painting for me on a couple different levels. It practically fell off my brushes inside the last two days. They were looooooonnnnng painting days, but the good sorts of ones that motivate - they left me comfortably exhausted with just enough adrenaline to jump in all over again. Thanks for following along with my painting journey, Kim

NEW PAINTING The Ancient Ones

"The Ancient Ones," 12" x 12", acrylics and graphite on museum quality panel, $449 ($49/mo payments) plus s&h to the first one asking nicely and from a proper distance. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. I can ship now (via Fed Ex, utilizing their porch pickup) or later. Please   reach out to me   with inquiries or questions. It's rarely difficult for me to title my paintings, particularly when I'm working with in a series. I think I'm at least 10 pieces (2 months) into the rabbits, and I'm still not entirely sure what these paintings are about. So I asked my Oracle Cards the other night what the rabbits meant. I pulled The Ancient Ones card, representing shamans of old who defeated death and escaped time. The Ancient Ones counsel and invite us to reach to the future and birth a new destiny. How's that for some mid-pandemic direction? Rather fitting, isn't it? I didn't have much of a painting mojo this aft...

NEW PAINTING Abundance

"Abundance," 9" x 12", acrylics and graphite on museum quality panel, $399 plus s&h to the first one asking nicely and from a proper distance. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. I can ship now (via Fed Ex, utilizing their porch pickup) or later. Please   reach out to me   with inquiries or questions. I will be honest, it's been hard finding my mojo at the easel. Particularly the last 5 days. I've cut myself off from the news and seriously limited social media time and tried very hard to keep my hamster brain from running on the wheel of anxiety. This morning, though, I knew I had to jump in and do a painting for myself or else this whole deer-in-the-headlights thing might atrophy. It's one thing to work on a portrait, I think, because I've done so many of them and the decisions are mostly made based on likeness. But these paintings with the rabbits, they come from a deeper place inside me, and often require coaxi...

NEW PAINTING Vestry

"Vestry," 16"x20", acrylics and graphite on a flat panel, $599 plus s&h. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . I think we can all relate to this image of gathering loved ones and standing watch. Also, wash your hands. And batman cough, people. Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Contessa

Kimberly Kelly Santini   paintings with soul because our world needs more beauty Please note that yesterday's post listed incorrect size and pricing information, I guess because I'm human. I apologize for any confusion this might have caused.   "Contessa," 16"x20", acrylics and graphite on a flat panel, $599 plus s&h. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . SOLD (TY and congratulations to returning collector AK) I have been busy letting beauty into my day, via the easel. Have you welcomed any into yours? (Also, online students got an analysis of the impetus behind the last 5 bunny paintings -   are you over there ?) (Also, did you vote? I was #110 in my precinct this morning.) Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork journey, Warmly, Kim

IN PROCESS Contessa (Working Title)

IN PROCESS "Contessa (working title)," 18x24", acrylics and graphite on a flat panel, $7999 plus s&h. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries, including a request for first dibs on this painting when finished, may always come  to me . While I am using the same sorts of visuals and processes as my   Daydreams series   of paintings, it's becoming increasingly obvious to me that these recent rabbit pieces are an entity of their own. Which is entirely ok - wonderful, actually, because I never want to stagnate as an artist - I want to always be learning new things and pushing myself to find deeper means of expression. I also find myself at an interesting juncture - having been practicing and studying  Stanka Kordic 's intuitive approach for the last year or so, where one responds with immediacy to what shows up on the painting, I started a new online course with   Ardith Goodwin  (The Journal of Interest...

NEW PAINTING Totem

"Totem," 18x24x1", gallery wrapped canvas, acrylics and graphite,$849 plus s&h. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . I'm not certain that this one qualifies as a Daydream, given that my inspiration subjects are a bit more representational, but this painting evolved from the same process and pulled on all the things the Daydreams have/are teaching me. Furthermore, Totem is a solid step in the direction I want to take my work in particular, lush with painterliness, imagination, sheer beauty and a storyline. Online classroom students  received an indepth video-ed discussion of this painting and the ah-ha moment it delivered. Later this week they will be getting my final thoughts on the composition and a sneak peek at what will hit my easel next. Classroom participation is via   Patreon,   where $5/month unlocks exclusive rewards. If you are seeking a deeper dive into my...

NEW PAINTING Incarnate (Daydream 44)

"Incarnate (Daydream 44)," 30x30x2", gallery wrapped canvas, acrylics and graphite, image painted/extended around wrap so no need to frame, $1499 plus s&h. Available through March 6th via   Starkweather Art Center . Inquiries may always come  to me . It's been a busy last couple of weeks outside the studio, between exhibition openings, guild meetings, artwork delivery and pickup, and critique sessions. I have not been able to get to the easel as much as I would like, but this sort of activity fuels and motivates. There is inspiration that happens when one gets to view artwork in person and talk to other creators. And, of course, I love getting my work out into the world, too, always. I am so very thrilled and thankful to share that the above painting, Incarnate, was honored with a second place award at   Starkweather Arts' Center's   Membership Show, juried by Peter Gahan. I thoroughly enjoyed being a panelist at the   Paint Creek Center...

NEW PAINTING Song of Three (Daydream 43)

"Song of Three (Daydream 43)," (this one is incredibly difficult to photograph - there is so much glare from the layers - I'll have to take her outside on an overcast day and try again), 36x48x1", gallery wrapped canvas, acrylics and graphite, image painted/extended around wrap so no need to frame, $2499 plus s&h. Returning collectors receive 10% off. I accept paypel, venmo and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . So over the last two years this particular canvas has had several iterations - one being layers of punk tulle, then there were some parrot tulips, and those, over the course of the last week, became primroses. That's the thing about painting intuitively - one is never fully in control of the outcome, merely channeling the ideas. In other related news, my blow dryer caught fire today while I was using it to dry this painting. Not sure if that was her way of stating her opinion...... Thanks, as always, for following along ...

NEW PAINTING Maimie (Daydream 45)

"Maimie (Daydream 45)," 20x30x1-1/2", gallery wrapped extra deep canvas, acrylics and graphite, image painted/extended around wrap so no need to frame, $1299 plus s&h. Returning collectors receive 10% off. I accept paypel, venmo and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . Maimie was my great-grandmother. When she could no longer care for herself, she moved into the basement of my grandmother's home. One of my favorite parts of visiting my grandmother was the added 2-for-1 part - I got double the love within each visit. Every day I write a list of 10 things I want to remember in my journal. Usually they are things encountered inside the last 24 hours. But today I am making an exception. Some of my favorite memories of Maimie: 1. She always had a canary. When her last one died, she was gifted a music box - a bamboo bird cage with a tiny bird on a swing. How I loved getting permission to turn the birdsong on. 2. We had a standing date with ...

NEW PAINTING Tidal (Daydream 42)

"Tidal (Daydream 42)," 36" x 48" x 2", acrylics, graphite and canvas collaged on gallery wrap canvas, no need to frame. $2799 plus s&h. Returning collectors receive 10% off. I accept paypel, venmo and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . I believe this is an important painting (from my body of work to date). She's been done for a couple weeks, and I still feel that way, which doesn't always happen after the adrenaline rush of signing a piece. There's something here I can't quite define - or maybe I simply can't see it yet, but most definitely can feel it - persistence, honesty, faith? Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Surfacing (Daydream 41)

"Surfacing(Daydream 41)," 20" x 24", acrylics and graphite on panel, $849 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans - inquiries always welcome to come  to me .  This painting evolved from the same reference photo as   "The Butterfly Effect (Daydream 40)," yet they have entirely different feels. I think it's a reflection of my mood and frame of mind at the time I create them. Even just the span of a few days can have a significant impact. Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING The Butterfly Effect (Daydream 40)

"The Butterfly Effect (Daydream 40)," 20" x 24", acrylics and graphite on panel, $849 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans - inquiries always welcome to come  to me .  As cliche as it sounds, I WISH I could show you this one in person. There is nuance here the computer simply cannot display. This is a breakthrough painting for me, as was   Mother , who I completed a few weeks back. To have both of these happen so closely together tells me I'm asking the right sorts of questions. Props to   Lauren Everett Finn   for encouraging me to embrace darker values in my work. And talking about all sorts of other things that have given me a larger arsenal from which to create. Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Daydream 38

"Daydream 38," 24" x 30" x 1-1/2", mixed media (acrylics and graphite) on cradeled panel, $1299 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal, venmo and payment plans; inquiries may come directly to  me . Thanks so very much. It was a busy weekend, full of moments that will make me feel blessed in the coming months, when the colder weather keeps me closer to home and mostly bundled up inside (it's a standing joke with the neighbors that I go into hibernation between Halloween and Easter). Meanwhile, here is the newest Daydream painting. I see one slight change to make with a couple of glazes once the surface is fully cured, but otherwise, she's ready to find a new home. Is it yours? Thanks so very much for following along on my art journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Schematic (Daydream 34)

"Schematic (Daydream 34)," 11" x 14" x 1/2", acrylics and graphite on cradeled wood panel, $499 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans.  Inquiries may always come   to me . I spent a good time today looking at the Daydreams and Figment paintings collectively. Independent of each other, they are fascinating. But when grouped together, there's all sorts of whispered secrets. It's magical. Thanks so very much for following along on my art journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Daydream 23

"Daydream 23," 11" x 14" x 1/2", acrylics and graphite on cradeled wood panel, $499 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans.  Inquiries may always come   to me . What do you see in this painting? there are so many delights hiding-in-wait..... Thanks so very much for following along on my art journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Anemone (Daydream 31)

Detail of "Anemone (Daydream 31)," 24" x 24", acrylics and graphite on panel $899 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Full painting pictured below. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans.  Inquiries may always come   to me . Siren meets Daydream. I began   the Siren painting   in May 2018, but I couldn't figure out how to resolve her. That's because she showed up far too early - I hadn't yet learned how to do   this , with the glazes and lines. So she waited in the studio. Very patiently, I might add. Thanks so very much for following along on my art journey, Warmly, Kim Join My Virtual Classroom

NEW PAINTING Daydream 22

"Daydream 22," 11" x 14" x 3/4", acrylics on cradeled wood panel, $499 plus s&h. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come   to me . This one is fascinating to me. There's magic happening in the depths of the garden. Jack might have dropped a bean seed, and it's just germinated. What do YOU see? Thanks so very much for following along on my art journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Daydream 15 (Daisy)

"Daydream 15 (Daisy)," 12' x 12" x 3/4", acrylics on cradeled birch panel, $449 plus s& h to the first asking nicely. ** Inquiries may always come   to me . Someone said these recent Daydream paintings were spiritual. That's a five star compliment. Thanks so very much for following along on my art journey, Warmly, Kim **Daydream 15 had been entered in a juried exhibition, which means, should she make the cut, her dance card is full until the exhibition closes on October 5th, 2019. I can ship her off shortly afterwards. If she doesn't make it in, she's available for shipment after August 27th, 2019. Any questions may always come   to me .
