Peony Diptych

"Peony Diptych," (2) 12" square gallery stretched canvases that overall create a 12" x 24" image.  Done in acrylics and paint pen, featuring one of my favorite flowers, peonies. Available to the  first asking nicely  for $350. I'm planning to study florals a bit more seriously in a series of smaller works. I'm paying greater attention to modeling and composition, among other things. Trying to think about the painting as an abstract object and not as a representation of flowers, if that makes any sense. And if not, that's ok, too, because you can simply enjoy the piece for the floral element! Also, I made a number of new images available for prints and various reproductions - you can see them here . Tulip Bowl

"Tulip Bowl," 24" x 30" acrylics on panel, featuring violet tulips in a goldfish bowl. Another piece created for licensing consideration, this one is available to the  first asking nicely  for $899, with one contingency. IF Tulip Bowl makes the licensing cut, I'll ship the artwork to my agency for a high resolution scan, after which the painting can be shipped to a new home. The scanning process should be completed by the end of March. Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim

Fiestaware

FINISHED: "Fiestaware," 24" x 30" acrylics on panel, featuring a mixed bouquet tucked into a turquoise Fiestaware pitcher. This one is available to the  first asking nicely  for $899, with one contingency. I've been asked by my agent to create a few floral paintings for licensing consideration.  Which means that if she likes "Fiestaware" (or whichever of these floral pieces), I'll ship the artwork to her for a high resolution scan, after which the painting can be shipped to a new home. The scanning process should be completed by the end of March. SOLD (TY!) Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Hyacinths

"Hyacinth," 16" x 20" acrylics on panel, available to the  first asking nicely  for a very affordable $200 (plus $20 s&h). I couldn't resist these bulbs when I grocered this week. They are utterly charming in their little weathered bowl, and they smell so good. Or so I thought, until I moved them into the studio and put the spot light on them. The warmth from the bulb made them smell even better..... if that's possible! Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Pink Peonies

"Pink Peonies," 16" x 20", acrylics on panel. This is a demo painting for the lesson I'll teach this weekend - my local library has invited me to share some spring inspiration with their patrons. If you recall, in the fall we painted sunflowers together , and this time around it will be peonies. These peonies will bring a bit of spring to you, too - they are available to the  first asking nicely  for a very affordable $200  (SOLD - TY KL) Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Wilbur Embraces His Feminine Side

"Wilbur Embraces His Feminine Side," from The Beribboned Series , 18" x 24", acrylics on panel. Available to the  first asking nicely , $799 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. That skinny bow nestled on top? it reminded me of a spider for some reason, hence the pig's name "Wilbur." Charlotte's Web was a favorite read when I was younger. Brocade

"Brocade," from The Beribboned Series , 16" x 20", acrylics on panel. Available to the  first asking nicely , $649 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. Continuing my obsession with rodents, this guinea pig is pretty proud of her ribboned bonnet. The color in this piece lifts my heart - it's even more glorious in person. Wouldn't she be perfect in a nursery? a little girl's room? a powder room? an office space? I see her happily residing in a room full of laughter and love. Speaking of little girls - I'm ducking out early today - The Princess's competition dance season starts in a couple of hours. I'll be back on Monday with my head full of music, lights, costumes, and the theater of movement. Lucky me!! Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Divine Intervention

"Divine Intervention," a self portrait, 24" x 30", acrylics on panel. Available to the  first asking nicely , $899 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. I've been painting regular selfies for over two years and find it a great practice for examining my emotional state and working through various situations. Today's selfie was begun a few days ago and has been my obsession ever since. My original concept was set aside when I realized the painting (and my subconscious) was asking for something else. Each of the items in the painting were chosen for symbolic reasons. They tell my personal story of this year so far - it is my hope that viewers will weave their own tale from the composition. Violet

"Violet," 18" x 24", acrylics on panel, from the Beribboned series. Available to the  first asking nicely , $799 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. The Princess's gentle lionhead bunny modeled for this painting. Everyone in our family, even the four legged members, has to earn their keep!
