I got to work on a painting featuring the breezeway of the barn, open at both ends, and the surrounding green. But I quickly learned that my muse had other ideas - she wanted to paint those trees, not the barn. So I gave in - it’s not worth fighting over these sorts of things, and I’m challenged enough working plein air. If trees were where my mind wandered, that’s what I was going to paint!
