My oldest was recently married, my youngest readying to graduate university, which meant my role of mother was transitioning into something new.   Last month I snuck off to Kara Bullock's art studio in California and secretly filmed   an online workshop !! This project has literally been in the works for years (she was so kind and patient when i needed to reschedule in 2023). And I tell you it was well worth the wait - I could not be prouder of what we built together during our week. We built the course   "Intuitive Painting - Call and Response."   And it's a good one!   The Magic Space   is my membership program, an online classroom where students get a front row seat to what's playing out in the studio, guidance on my various techniques and instruction on how they, too, can weave their artwork with processes, symbols and subject matter uniquely their own. Started in 2017, it began as a way for me to deliver deeper insight and valuable content to artists wishing to understand how I approach making my own art.   This little painting is one of my most popular images for   reproductions.   I love the sauciness of her! She's a great example of brushwork and color, both topics I'm going into deeply with the second session of the pet portraiture demo, which airs live Monday, May 24th at 7pm.
