Gris

"Gris," 8" x 10", acrylics on museum quality panel, a still life depicting a toy dappled gray pony (Schleich), crayon and penny, $469 to the first  asking nicely  . View In Process Photos Ask Nicely & Buy Me Now Still using that crayon - this time in a mid-range composition full of subtle transitions. Next up I suppose is a white on white, right?  Although I don't yet have a white model horse. Does that give me permission to go ebay-ing? In all seriousness, if you have Breyer or Schleich models you would like to lend as props, let's talk . I don't have much more storage room, and God forbid I rehome some of my creepy dolls. Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork, Kim

The End of the Day, In Process

In Process, "The End of the Day," 16" x 20", acrylics on museum quality panel, depicting a gorgeous gray Gypsy Vanner horse. This painting is available for $679 to the first one asking nicely. VIEW IN PROCESS PHOTOS Started a new painting today that is high key - I needed a little visual break from deep shadows and dreary gray days. This is the perfect antidote. Thanks for following along with my artwork, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Morning Rush Hour, The Saratoga Series

ABOVE, detail of "Morning Rush Hour," previously shared with the working title "Collected"), from "The Saratoga Series," 12" x 24", acrylic on museum quality panel, inspired from photos I shot in the early morning on the back side of Saratoga Race Track, $749. BELOW, complete painting.  Inquiries may come  to me.   In process pics are  on Facebook  - there's a mess of them!   And now I'm off to paint a couple of commissioned portraits. Then it'll be back to the track scenes for a bit. And I'll squeeze in some new Ball Dogs, too.   Thanks for supporting my artwork, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Stardust, A Painted Sketch

"Stardust," approximately 4-1/2" square roughly centered on a 9" x 12" paper, commissioned portrait of a Welsh pony, doe in acrylics, private collection (THANK YOU!).         Figuratively back in the saddle today, although my feet would likely be dragging, as I worked on a commissioned sketch of a tiny little pony.   I am unpacked, laundry is nearly done, and I'm almost through the emails that piled up whilst I was teaching.   Which means I can paint undisturbed for days on end now, right? It's just as well...... it's snowing again. Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com
