I work intuitively, approaching the painting with a general idea and allowing it to Become. I try to think open endedly, meaning I brainstorm possible directions, then go with the one which feels the truest to the piece that's evolving. There's often a good amount of tripping and back tracking and repainting, and sometimes a piece will just stall, for no reason other than I can't get out of my own way. This painting was influenced by Untamed , the cheetah piece I did last month.
