Paintings With Soul

Fun fact - the trees in this painting were inspired from tree paintings I did several weeks ago. I literally used my own paintings of trees as the reference for the tree shapes in this piece. And the hyacinths are homegrown, painted from life using blooms beaten down by this week's rain. I particularly love how all of the shapes have morphed into marks that feel stylistically my own. "Hyacinth," 16" x 20" acrylics on panel, available to the  first asking nicely  for a very affordable $200 (plus $20 s&h). I couldn't resist these bulbs when I grocered this week. They are utterly charming in their little weathered bowl, and they smell so good. Or so I thought, until I moved them into the studio and put the spot light on them.
