I will be honest, it's been hard finding my mojo at the easel. Particularly the last 5 days. I've cut myself off from the news and seriously limited social media time and tried very hard to keep my hamster brain from running on the wheel of anxiety. This morning, though, I knew I had to jump in and do a painting for myself or else this whole deer-in-the-headlights thing might atrophy. But these paintings with the rabbits, they come from a deeper place inside me, and often require coaxi...

Scatterghost

"Scatterghost," 20" circle, acrylics on gallery wrapped canvas, $899 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may come   to me . The Christchurch shooting has me feeling all sorts of feels. They settled in heavily alongside the news, and I began trying to wrap my brain around how to paint such a monstrous thing. It began with the idea of fragility, and how quickly the balance of life can shift. The painting   Delicate   (who sold while still on my easel - thank you so much AK!) came off my brushes, followed by this one. Scatterghost takes her title from the Mary Oliver poem   "The Rabbit,"   which is also a tale of life and death, although a sweeter one by far. At a time when there are no words, I am grateful to have my paints. Thanks, as always, for following along with my art journey, Warmly, Kim

This one gives me chills - quite literally. She's extra special - relevant for this perilous moment in time and simultaneously timeless. She carries a bit of my heart and the fortitude and grace of all the women I have loved. Payment plans available - let's talk if you want her to be flying in your home. Thanks to Sue Schultz for the title!

It's turning my brain inside out a bit, although I expect my brain already was a bit inside out to begin with. Anyways, these would make glorious Mother's Day gifts. With a paypal payment, I can get them to you in time for gifting that first Sunday in May. Share Tweet Forward

Rosie's Posey

I'm taking a little break between commissions today, and thought I would try to combine my recent flower studies with a dog portrait. There's so much potential with this process! The above piece is 12" x 16", acrylics with pastel accents on a museum quality panel. It can be yours for $399 - there's only one original, and the first one asking nicely gets it! Email me .
