Tulip Bowl

"Tulip Bowl," 24" x 30" acrylics on panel, featuring violet tulips in a goldfish bowl. Another piece created for licensing consideration, this one is available to the  first asking nicely  for $899, with one contingency. IF Tulip Bowl makes the licensing cut, I'll ship the artwork to my agency for a high resolution scan, after which the painting can be shipped to a new home. The scanning process should be completed by the end of March. Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim
"Bittersweet," 16" x 20", acrylics on panel, $199 to the first asking nicely. Inquiries may always come to me . I am slowly finding my way through the emotional mayhem following last week's election. We escaped to Chicago this weekend, where I unplugged from social media and played with my cousins' children. It was the perfect medicine. Back in the studio today, I struggled to find direction. Seemed like the perfect day to paint a turquoise dove with the remnants of my garden blooms. Continuing to work with the florals, thinking about the end of summer and a looming winter.  Thanks for following along with my artwork, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

I'm Not Listening. Wait. Maybe I Am.

The completed painting - "I'm Not Listening. Wait. Maybe I Am," 11" x 14", velvety dark and rich acrylics on museum quality panel depicting the one and only Mona Lisa, $599 to the first asking nicely. SOLD (thank you!). VIEW IN PROCESS PHOTOS Got this one finished today AND got the initial sketch done of my ArtPrize 2014 piece starring daVinci. You can watch that project (and it's a BIG one, to match Vinnie's personality) unfold here . And learn more about ArtPrize, a fantastic art festival held in Grand Rapids Michigan each fall, here . Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Kiran's Spotlight, Finished?

Kiran's Spotlight, 11" x 14", acrylics on museum quality panel, depicting a young dancer and friend of The Princess, not currently available. However, inquiries may come  to me .     Sorry about the blurry photo - the best I can do given the current lighting situation! I'll try again tomorrow!   I decided the background needed more warmth, but still had to be cooler than the foreground. Once I figured that out, I was able to go and finish Kiran's body.   I thought I was done, but I see a couple edges I want to soften. I'll hold off on declaring her entirely finished, then, until Kiran's parents get a peek at it and give me some feedback.   And I make those tweaks I want!   Thanks for following along with my artwork! Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com   PS   In process pictures are here  on Facebook .

March Desktop Calendar

Another cozy image for a winter month - guess I have napping on my mind!   Sorry for the delay in sharing the March calendar - I jetted off to Florida and neglected to add the file to my website, something I can only do from home.   I had sunshine on the brain!!!   To implement this month's desktop calendar, simply download the file  directly from my website . I've set up a couple different ways to do this, either via the photo album or a direct link.   I am by no means an expert on the variety of operating systems, so I highly recommend that if you don't know how to change your desktop wallpaper, don't email me for advice. Instead consult your computer's help files - they will be more concise, more knowledgeable and more responsive than I could ever hope to be.    I've sized this to fit a standard screen height of 768 - I realize there are lots of variables that could im...

Sunshine

"Sunshine," 6" square, acrylics on museum quality panel, depicting a Pomeranian with a large and sunny personality, private collection (THANK YOU!).   There are a couple of in process pics of Sunshine  here  on the studio's Facebook page.   Inquiries are welcomed - shoot an email  in my direction .     It is still bitterly cold here. Many of you asked yesterday where "here" was - I'm in Michigan, mid-Thumb area. And regretting ever leaving Southern California (we moved 15 years ago this month).   Hoping all remain warm today, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Buddy

"Buddy," 8" x 10", commissioned dog portrait, done in acrylics on a museum quality panel. Buddy's painting has a home (THANK YOU!), and in process pics are on the  studio's Facebook page .   So, like, this is one of my all time favorite pieces to come off my easel.    I'm feeling rather pleased with myself right now.    Fondly, Kim, who's head might have grown a couple sizes this afternoon ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com
