Her title, Marigold, belies all the other flowers buried in this piece. Violas, pansies, morning glory, periwinkle, hydrangea, sedum. Summer will always be just a glance away with Marigold hanging around. Also, that passage in the upper right around her far ear? it makes me giddy with joy. Come Paint With Me!

Paint with Me   Come paint with me next week   - October 3-6, in Tustin, California - and learn all the secrets behind how I build paintings full of mystery and delight.   Join   On the Fly   — an intimate 3-day workshop experience all about improvisational painting and following the sparks that thrill you. Together, we’ll explore how to intuitively build a piece inspired by birds and flora (two of my current obsessions). I’ll share insights, walk you through actionable steps to connect with what   really   matters (spoiler: this is how you grow your own style!), and you'll have a front row seat to my personal approaches. Expect spontaneous marks, playground fun, and a compassionate community. Yes, it will be life-altering. Yes, free hugs are included (consent required). Seriously, let’s paint together — you won’t regret it for a second. 💛 Kim P.S. If you’ve taken my online courses, you already have most of the supplies. So just ...

And yet, this week, as I tied up all her loose ends, she was immediately of this moment in time. Breathing in forget-me-nots, grounded in both earth and air, this little Fox is a determined soul. She is going to make shit happen, just wait and see. Thanks so much for your interest in my artwork, Love you, Kim. PS  Return...

This piece is available to ship at the end of September 2025. Questions? just  reach out .   I have been hiding out in the studio. It's in the basement of my home which means I can come to work without having to go out into the real world. When I'm here, I have no idea of time of day or what's happening weatherwise. I can lose myself with my art materials and my processes. And if I can find flow state while I'm working, that's added respite too. The studio is where I lay out what is weighing heavy on my heart, examine it thoroughly, and then work through it by making art. I've got a lot of shit laid out down here as of late, but nevert...

Sparkle

Sparkle   Pictured above, Sparkle, 16"x16", acrylic on cradled panel, $1100 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. This piece is available to ship at the end of September 2025. Questions? just  reach out .   A Canary, Pink Dahlia and Blue Sky walk into a bar and the bartender says, "what is this, some kind of landscape?" (clearly i'm a painter, not a joke writer!!)) But when a Canary, Pink Dahlia and Blue Sky show up in my studio, you KNOW it won't be any sort of ordinary landscape. Thanks so much for your interest in my artwork, Love you, Kim. Clicking on the image above  or here  will teleport over to my website to view the painting in a room setting and zoom in up close to the image. Questions? just  reach out .   There is so much I have embedded into this painting. She started out about a year ago I think, and I dumped all sorts of personal symbols in - bits and pieces of a favorite rosebush, the dark horse I dream of regularly, swathes of sky. At one point the earlier version even had wings.  I loved her so much that I also painted  an oil study inspired by one of her pause points  (what I call an unfinished painting I don't yet have clarity on). I was feeling down yesterday. When ...
