
This painting is from a photo sent in by a Dog-a-Day reader. This loveable little face showed up on her friends’ doorstep, stayed for a handful of years, and then took off on her own again. I was drawn to Blackie’s spaniel eyes (which belie that independent nature, don’t they?) and the silky quality of her ink-blue fur. I bet Blackie’s curled up in front of a cozy fireplace right now, planning her next move……
