"Daydream 24," which, ironically and synchroniously is also 24" x 24", acrylics, collage and water based media on panel, $899 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come to me.
Yes, this is a painting in a painting. One of the Cornflower Dream paintings (remember those sketches on paper I did a couple weeks back?) sacrificed herself to be a part of this larger daydream. She's pretty pleased with her decision, too.
There's plenty more where this came from. The paintings are pushing and shoving, rushing to get out of my head. I'm trying to keep them calm and somewhat organized, but it's an awful lot like herding cats. Which Blue tries to do quite frequently to Mona and DaVinci, with great enthusiasm and always unsuccessfully. I'm hoping for a better outcome.
Meanwhile, the Daydream paintings are being well received as they venture out into the world. There are 2 in the Detroit Society of Women Painters & Sculptors "Small and Mighty" Exhibition, opening tomorrow evening at the Grosse Pointe Congregational Church. One in The 59th Annual Thumb Area Art Exhibition at Starkweather Gallery, which opens Friday evening in Romeo (Michigan); possibly one in Anton Art Center's Artist Choice show which opens Saturday afternoon (I am awaiting jury results). And at least one in the Greater Michigan Art Exhibition at the Aldon B Dow Museum of Science and Art which opens at the end of this month. Show dates and details are on
my website. Each of these events are family friendly, open to the public, and free - perhaps I'll see you at one of them!
