ABOVE: "Dog Tired," 12" square, portrait of an English Bull Terrier puppy, done in Golden Open Acrylics on canvasboard, available for purchase for $599. Inquiries may come to me. This is another girl that has been languishing in the studio for well over a year (pictured below), waiting for me to ante up and finish her. Thanks so very much for following along with my artwork! Kim

Illustrator and author Matt Faulkner and children's book author and literacy expert Kristen Remenar edited an early version of the draft. They suggested key plot/conceptual changes that made it oodles better. Designer Elizabeth St. Hilaire Nelson worked her magic, pairing the images with perfectly color...
Encore un nouveau portrait de toutou bien réussi... Bravo! et restez au chaud et surtout ne m'envoyez pas de la neige! je ne l'aime pas beaucoup... Bisous
ReplyDeleteThanks, Martine! This was a painting that required perseverance and flexibility - particularly with the compositional changes at the end. Realizing my initial concept would not work given the subject choice, and making the changes necessary to salvage the piece. :)
