Welcome to Painting a Dog a Day

Since October 2006 I've been a daily painter, creating a new pet portrait at least 5 times per week. At first the paintings were mostly dogs, but over the years I've allowed a transgression here and there, and expanded my offerings to include a variety of animals and pets. And yes, I accept commissions! Please join the Painting a Dog a Day community - Sign up using the links at the left to receive the dailies via email or follow the blog with a feed. I post additional info, including in-process jpgs and other related information, on the studio Facebook page as well.

The links above will help navigate through workshops, the commission process, and other options.

Thank you
so much for your continued support of my artwork.

Baxter, A Painted Sketch

"Baxter," image approximately 3" x 5" roughly centered on an 8" x 10" archival paper, commissioned sketch and as such, headed to a new home (thank you!). Inquiries are welcome (sketches like Baxter's start at $100) and may come to me

I didn't even think about promoting Dog a Day paintings as Valentines, but Baxter's Mom was way ahead of me.

This sketch will be winging it's way to her home shortly, where it will be a reminder of the endless love she and her hubby have for this dear dog.

This so beats a romantic dinner!!

Do you want a piece of this Dog a Day Valentine love?email me and we'll do a gift certificate, ok? or you can take your chances and enter in the Dog a Day Valentine Giveaway by following the directions here.

Happy Monday!!
Kim

Kiki Kelly's
"Snowflowers"

I just can't get enough of Kiki's work, and fear that I may talk her into building a website.

Meanwhile, she's told me to pipe down, which I'm content doing, as she has added more multi media images to her FineArtAmericastorefront purely for my viewing pleasure.

Take a peek for yourself - you can order notecards or reproductions - and chase those winter duldrums away.

(or get out the spirograph and make your own flowers!)

Thank you so very much for supporting working artists!

(and don't forget that this working artist is giving away a painting on Valentine's Day - more deets here)
