Paintings With Soul

Since October 2006 I've been a daily painter, creating a new pet portrait at least 5 times per week. Over the years I've expanded my offerings to include a variety of animals, pets, race horses, children and other treasured heirlooms. In addition, I accept a limited number of commissions each year.

In 2015 I am honored to be the Kentucky Derby Artist.

You may use the links below right to receive my daily paintings via email or to follow my blog with a feed. I post additional info, including in-process jpgs and other related information, on the studio Facebook page as well.

Meanwhile, thanks
so much for your continued support of my artwork.

From Behind, Still In Process

IN PROCESS: Above, detail of one of ten equines in "From Behind," pictured in it's entirety (and still in process) below. This panel is 36" x 11", done in acrylic on a museum quality panel. The painting will be available for purchase via Spa Fine Art in April 2012. Meanwhile, your inquiries may always come to me.

Above is the inspiration photo which I took at Saratoga Racetrack several summers ago (Please do not copy or create your own artwork from this photo). Many have commented with surprise that my painting looks very little like the photo - in my book, photographic references are just a starting point.

I hardly slept last nite, knowing that this puppy was on the easel downstairs. I couldn't wait to get back to her today!

Progression of the piece is on the studio's Facebook page. Feel free to post questions over there, and we can get a dialogue happening that other artists and fans might appreciate.

Meanwhile, I might just finish this tonite. Along with a plate of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (The Princess baked today!!) -
Kim
