Paintings With Soul

Since October 2006 I've been a daily painter, creating a new pet portrait at least 5 times per week. Over the years I've expanded my offerings to include a variety of animals, pets, race horses, children and other treasured heirlooms. In addition, I accept a limited number of commissions each year.

In 2015 I am honored to be the Kentucky Derby Artist.

You may use the links below right to receive my daily paintings via email or to follow my blog with a feed. I post additional info, including in-process jpgs and other related information, on the studio Facebook page as well.

Meanwhile, thanks
so much for your continued support of my artwork.

Sweet Kisses

"Sweet Kisses (Bella & Dasher)," 8" x 16", commissioned pet portrait depicting two mixed breed dogs, acrylic on canvasboard, private collection (thank you so much to my new collector!).
I paint at least three commissioned portraits each week. Would you like to get in on the fun? Send me an email so that we can discuss your dog (or cat or horse) and ideas for their special portrait. Don't think my style is right for you? that's ok too - I'll be more than happy to refer you to another artist.
For that matter, take a peek at the artists exhibiting in the latest Canine Art Guild exhibition. "The Company Dogs Keep" is a great showcase of some of the talent lurking in the CAG, a group I helped found a few years back.
Another great group of artists, many of whom do commission work, is the Equine Art Guild. I was honored to learn recently that my painting "Corkscrews & Lashes" (which is available to purchase through my Etsy store!) was chosen from the legions of EAG artists for the Equine Art Guild's Facebook page. Thank you to Sheri Gordon for this honor.
And because there aren't quite enough plugs in today's posting, I'll throw in one more. The 23rd annual Art Show at the Dog Show artwork is now online. It's gorgeous!!  Enjoy browsing!
Thanks, as always, for sharing my day.
See you tomorrow,
