Welcome to Painting a Dog a Day

Since October 2006 I've been a daily painter, creating a new pet portrait at least 5 times per week. At first the paintings were mostly dogs, but over the years I've allowed a transgression here and there, and expanded my offerings to include a variety of animals and pets. And yes, I accept commissions! Please join the Painting a Dog a Day community - Sign up using the links at the left to receive the dailies via email or follow the blog with a feed. I post additional info, including in-process jpgs and other related information, on the studio Facebook page as well.

The links above will help navigate through workshops, the commission process, and other options.

Thank you
so much for your continued support of my artwork.

What to Call This One?

Details of the panoramic painting currently on my easel, and also currently untitled. This piece (pictured in it's entirety below) is 5" high by 22" wide. This is a challenging painting to photograph, given it's dimension. Forgive the tiny images!

I have several consults this afternoon and hope to return to the studio later, but just in case, I thought I'd share now, and take the pressure off for later.

In process views of this painting are updated on thestudio's Facebook page.

Inquiries can always come to me!!! And thank you!!

Great news!! I need to replenish my painting inventory at Spa Fine Art in Saratoga Springs, New York, and this is my latest candidate.

This one honors Melissa, who's birthday should have been today. That gray horse in the lead is in her memory, for noone loved grays quite like she did. Every gray horse that crosses my path now is a reminder to find beauty in each moment, because few of us ever have enough of them.

Moments, that is. Although I suppose the same could be said for gray ponies.

Thanks, as always, for supporting and sharing my art with your friends and family,
Kim
