I hesitate to title the majority of my Daydream paintings because I feel that guides viewers' perception and perhaps limits what they see inside a piece. And I debated this for days here, ultimately choosing a generic title, "Mother," that could itself become interpreted in a variety of ways, similar to the image. She, this painting, needed something more significant than just another number. I'll keep the true meaning to myself. It's mostly important that I painted my story - it's not so important that I shout it out overtop everyone else's voice. Because we all have stories.
