Peep

"Peep," from The Beribboned Series , 16" x 20", acrylics on panel. Available to the  first asking nicely , $649 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. Can you see Peep and Chickie hanging together (pictured below)? Like in a toddler's room, a nursery, a powder room, a bright hallway...... the possibilities are endless. I would love to see them go together, which means special pricing for one lucky collector - $999. We can put a payment plan together, too (that applies to any purchases of original art) - message me if you are interested. Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Chickie

"Chickie," from The Beribboned Series , 16" x 20", acrylics on panel. Available to the  first asking nicely , $649 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. Nobody paints chicks like Alecia Underhill.  They are BIG and soft and full of yummy color. Here's a little print of one of my favs of hers, Grumpy Chick. I gave my chick a good try, nonetheless, with her blessing. And I had a great time! You can bet there will be more of these.... it IS almost spring, after all! Macy's Chicken

"Macy's Chicken," 8" x 10", acrylics on museum quality panel, commissioned portrait of a terrier. One of my last holiday commissions needing shipment! things are all on track, at least for the moment. Tomorrow night is our town's holiday parade (apparently the largest lighted holiday parade in the country), and both The Caped Crusader and The Princess will be marching, a first for us. The weather promises to be mild, and I'm looking forward to catching a little holiday cheer without risking frostbite like last year. And I won't lie, the best part will be seeing The Caped Crusader in a milkshake costume - he's marching with the Culver's contingent (the local fast food restaurant and his employer). Hmmm, maybe a pic of that will make our Christmas card this year...... Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Thanks for your interest in my artwork, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Floating Dorit

Day One of any workshop involves a demo-while-I'm-talking-performance. It can be hit or miss, and I'm sort of at the mercy of my muse and the space and my students. Today I was not disappointed by any of the above. I talked about building a composition, editing the reference to match one's idea, consciously choosing a color scheme, and building layered, gestural brushwork. "Floating Dorit," roughly centered on an 11" x 14" bristol board, done in acrylics, $200. Inquiries may come to me . That's the name of my 2 day intensive workshop. In 2 days we focus on how to see color with fresh eyes and how to translate what we see into juicy, gestural marks. It's a good time, as long as you have your running shoes on and are well rested. Lots of photos are being shared on my Facebook page . And information on future workshops is always here . Thanks so much for supporting my artwork, Kim
