NEW PAINTING Guardian

"Guardian," 24"x30", acrylic mixed media on flat panel. Guardian will be available at a future date, alongside some sister paintings. I welcome inquiries - they may always come   to me . Momma Bears are back with a ferocity. This was a tough week, to be honest. I can't stop thinking of the children and teachers who lost their lives in the Uvalde elementary school shooting. As a mother myself, a parent of a teacher, with friends who are educators, counselors, administrators et all, well, this guts me. Particularly so after seeing how changed my own community was after this fall's Oxford High School shooting just a few miles from my home.  So the foxes and rabbits, my own personal totems, got set aside in order for me to process the complexity of feels with my paints. I sat with my own complex responses but also talked to and read many other accounts. I tried to tap in to what people were feeling using a visual language I cultivated while painting the Talism

NEW PAINTING Wild Iris

"Wild Iris," 20"x30"x1-1/2", acrylic mixed media on gallery wrapped canvas, image painted around the sides so no need to frame. Wild Iris will be available to purchase next month, along with several other rabbit paintings. And who knows, I might throw a fox in there - or something else as a surprise! Inquiries may always come   to me . It's bunny season in the studio Seems like spring has been ushering rabbits on to my easel for a couple of years now. I paint intuitively, which means life circumstances to steer my subject matter. Each day I ask myself what to invite into my paintings based on the things I have seen and felt. One such source is my dreams, and I can tell you my dreams have been hopping lately. Some say that dreaming of rabbits symbolizes prosperity and good fortune. Others interpretate rabbit as a trickster. I often think that, as prey animals, rabbits represent vulnerability and fear. Iris also symbolize a variety of things - wisdom, hope,

NEW PAINTING Geranium

"Geranium," 24"x20", acrylic mixed media on panel. Geranium will be offered for sale in early June, along with a handful of other rabbit paintings. Please send any questions  my way  and thanks so much for your interest in my artwork. I wanted to try and paint the history of a plants blooms in one piece. This is an idea that has been taunting me for quite some time. I'm certain there are other ways to depict this, which I will continue to explore in upcoming pieces. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work, Be well and be inspired, Kim Available Paintings Find Your Unique Artists' Style (online instruction) Recent online class content has included an in process video and a live demonstration on how I paint the trees, discussion on how to tell our personal stories in our artwork, a challenge to examine personality traits and how they impact our art practice, a presentation on embracing change and inviting new directions to our work, a critique of stude

NEW PAINTING Dandelion

"Dandelion," 24"x20", acrylic on panel $1100 plus s&h to the first asking nicely inside the next week. If she hasn't found a home by then she will be sent to an exhibition later this summer and available to purchase in July. Please send any questions  my way  and thanks so much for your interest in my artwork. It's been a Monday for sure. Email problems, internet down, website issues, a major billing problem with my cell phone - all the things that wind one up tighter and tighter. They are resolved now - knock on wood - and so it was extra wonderful to pull Dandelion back onto my easel for some final touches. And fitting, too, that a powerful little storm cell whipped through just as I signed her. Maybe the storm washed away all the negative energy - one can hope, right? Meanwhile, I still have a good fistful of dandelions here in the studio and am going to give them another go. Who do you suppose will show up next? Thanks for taking the time to look a

Please send any questions  my way  and thanks so much for your interest in my artwork. This painting is steeped in reverence and peace. Have you ever been walked into a place and felt as though you were filling your lungs more deeply than you ever had before? That's the realm of this painting. She is a sanctuary. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work, Be well and be inspired, Kim

NEW PAINTING Synapse

Kimberly Kelly Santini   artist, instructor, daydreamer "Synapse," 24"x30", acrylic on panel $1300 plus s&h. This piece, along with a handful of sister paintings, will be available in the coming weeks. Please send any questions  my way  and thanks so much for your interest in my artwork. Fun fact - the trees in this painting were inspired from tree paintings I did several weeks ago. I literally used my own paintings of trees as the reference for the tree shapes in this piece. And the hyacinths are homegrown, painted from life using blooms beaten down by this week's rain. I particularly love how all of the shapes have morphed into marks that feel stylistically my own. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work, Be well and be inspired, Kim

SUN MOON OCEAN Journaling

Sun Moon Ocean is the newest in my series of free creative content hosted on   my YouTube channel . It's been a bit since I last wrote about my new journaling project, a free, self study, streamable series of videos hosted on   my YouTube channel , the most recent of which was published this morning. Each session introduces a series of prompts, ideas or techniques to enhance your journaling practice. So far we have talked about spilling (the writing, not the coffee sort), manifesting intentions, heightened self-care practices and affirmations to carry along our life journey. These classes are starting points - you can mirror my example or adapt to better meet your own leanings. They can be done at your own pace, in your own space, alone or with a group. And because I believe that journaling should be accessible to all regardless of financial circumstances, for the foreseeable future these classes will be entirely free (although there is cost related to producing this content so p
