ABOVE "Legs," 24" x 36", acrylics on museum quality panel, portrait of an Arabian filly. There's layers of marks here that one really has to get in close to fully appreciate, and they build up a remarkable play between lost and found edges. I've included a detail below so that you can get a sense of how varied and subtle the surface is. This painting is $4299 with complimentary US s&h directly to your door. "On the Turf II," 6" x 8", acrylics on museum quality panel, starring a bayThoroughbred race horse and jockey. This piece is $329 (which includes s&h inside the US). Inquiries may always  come to me , and thank you so much.  Tomorrow I will be setting up a temporary studio at Spa Fine Art and painting all afternoon and evening. I plan to work on pieces similar to this one, using photos I shot at the track today. Which means I need to start editing photos, like, 10 minutes ago.   ORDER NOTECARDS AND REPRODUCTIONS HERE     "Gigi," 10" x 10", portrait of a fluff ball, done in acrylics on a museum quality panel, my gift to Gigi's Mom for playing along with the Dog a Day Valentine's Giveaway.   Over 100 faces were submitted for consideration this year and it was difficult to narrow them down. I choose  22 finalists , but honestly didn't know until the absolute last possible minute who I was going to paint.
