Chickie

"Chickie," from The Beribboned Series , 16" x 20", acrylics on panel. Available to the  first asking nicely , $649 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. Nobody paints chicks like Alecia Underhill.  They are BIG and soft and full of yummy color. Here's a little print of one of my favs of hers, Grumpy Chick. I gave my chick a good try, nonetheless, with her blessing. And I had a great time! You can bet there will be more of these.... it IS almost spring, after all! Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Violet

"Violet," 18" x 24", acrylics on panel, from the Beribboned series. Available to the  first asking nicely , $799 (includes s&h inside the US). Thank you so much. The Princess's gentle lionhead bunny modeled for this painting. Everyone in our family, even the four legged members, has to earn their keep! Thanks for supporting my art, Warmly, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Tandem

"Tandem," 8" x 8", acrylics on museum quality panel, depicting a Thoroughbred getting ponied to the starting gate at Saratoga Racetrack, $399 (includes shipping and handling to a US address). Email me if you would like to to own this lovely chestnut racehorse and his delightful gray sidekick - two horses for the price of one!. Thinking about the design elements of this composition - the weave of legs (don't you LOVE that they are in stride?), the red legwraps balanced by the red dotted silks, the tails streaming in the same direction. All intentional considerations (I had a series of photographs of this pair) when planning this particular painting. Their rhythm set off by the riders' separate poses/seats creates an interesting tension. This makes me smile. I know it'll find a home and make someone else do the same. Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork, Warmly, Kim   ksantini@turtledovedesigns.co...

Four OClock

Four OClock (Mona Lisa), 8" x 10", acrylics on museum quality panel, portrait of the one and only Mona Lisa, available to the first one asking nicely for $469.  Inquiries  may come to me!!     I started Mo's latest painting yesterday (in process pics are here ), but was interrupted by two crises - one involving a broken down car and another over a missing uniform piece on game day.   My boss totally understood why I had to leave a little early!   Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Maggie Kitten, A Painted Sketch

"Maggie Kitten," image approximately 10" x 5" roughly centered on a 12" x 9" piece of bristol board, done in acrylics, depicting little Maggie and her spotted belly, Private collection.   ORDER REPRODUCTIONS/NOTECARDS     I suspect Maggie's painting will quickly become a favorite, so I loaded her up onto  FineArtAmerica,  where you can order reproductions and notecards.   There's lots of other paintings there, too (I have well over 200). I recently added a gallery exclusively for  images new to the site , to make it easier for regular visitors to see what's changed.   And if you don't see what you want, let me know - I'll be happy to add it if I can!   Enjoy your weekend, Kim, who is grateful to have another opportunity this evening to hear the Lake Orion Marching Band play (did you hear they placed 2nd in the State last weekend?!!). Oh yeah, and to watch some excellent high schoo...
