Clicking on the image  or here  will teleport over to my website to view the painting in a room setting, zoom in up close to the image, and even make her all yours. This piece is available to ship at the end of August 2025. Questions? just  reach out .   This painting is another demo, or trial run per se, of the exercises I've assembled for my next  in person workshop.  The results I am getting from these trial runs are so exciting - and I am all the more pumped to get to share them with students. This one was also influenced by childhood memories of my own hidey spots and playing hide and seek, too, with my kids. Little toes peeking out from under lumpy blankets and giggles coming from inside closets. Those were some good times. Thanks so much...

Weeping Roses

Weeping Roses view her on my website Weeping Roses, original acrylic on flat panel, 18”x24”, $1000 plus s&h. I welcome your questions (yes, I offer payment plans - details below). Just  reach out . There is the hardest working little rose bush in my garden. She is scrawny but boy is she extra. The little faces of her blooms cluster together in profusion, all kissed with sunshine and whispering together with delight. They always make me smile. Spending time in the garden is such a mood enhancer.  I sure could use some dirt under my nails and a barefoot walk through the grass about now. But I heard the groundhog saw his shadow, so I’ll have to wait a bit. You can get a good look at Weeping Roses over  on my website . You’ll find links there to zoom in close to her surface or view in a room setting. Purchasing can’t get any easier - add her to your cart and boom, she’s all yours! Let me know  if you would like a payment plan (30% non refundable deposit with t...

Indigo

Indigo view her on my website Indigo, original acrylic on flat panel, 16”x20”, $850 plus s&h. I welcome your questions (yes, I offer payment plans - details below). Just  reach out . This painting is a rework. I was in love with the prior version,  Indigo Apricot , at the time I created her, and she’s been hanging in the studio ever since. The last couple weeks, though, I began to see things differently. I itched to go back into the painting and make some changes. In artist speak this is called “seeing with fresh eyes.” Fresh eyes are an important tool in that they help the artist critically view a work of art and design adjustments as it progresses. Ironically, fresh eyes are tough to maintain when one is in the thick of creating said work. At the time I painted  Indigo Apricot  I was focused on other ideas specific to a proposal I was writing and seemingly forgot some basics (like varied edgework and an interesting value pattern).  I am infinitely p...

NEW PAINTING Night

Night, acrylic on cradled panel, sides painted so no need to frame, 18"x24", $1400 plus s&h   to the first asking nicely . Questions can always come  to me. Meet Night, the horse who has literally been in my dreams regularly the last six months. She is there, right at my side, physically or energetically, most nights (maybe she’s there every single one but I simply don’t remember). I am a lucid dreamer with consistent nightmares. When things get rough in there, I reach for her. There is a growing warmth across the palm of my hand and she is suddenly right there, and busts me through a sort of membrane into another dream sequence. This was an emotionally challenging piece to do, rather like an exhausting therapy session. I can’t believe that she’s actually here in my waking hours. Thank you, sweet girl, for showing up for me in my dreams and in the studio. You can see Night in greater detail  here ,  view her up close and in a room setting, and find a link ...

NEW PAINTINGS Rosa Multiflora 1 and Rosa Multiflora 2

At left, "Rosa Multiflora 1," at right, "Rosa Multiflora 2," each 6" x 6" x nearly 1", acrylics on cradled wood panel, image painted around edges, $174 each plus s&h. $100 from the purchase of each painting will be donated to #BlackLivesMatter. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come   to me . I have been at a loss this last week, struggling to comprehend the divide that's growing in my country, and what I see Americans doing to each other. I created #journalthroughit lessons directed specifically to   mindfulness   and   creating space to usher in and express our emotions . I'm also planning to attend a peaceful BLM rally, but keeping an eye on threats of armed gunman attending in opposition. And, of course, listening and learning. It just doesn't feel like enough, though. Last night, on a rare late evening alone in the studio, I set my commission aside, as my heart wasn't in it. I n...

Kentucky Derby Week - David+Austin

David+Austin, 36" x 48", acrylics on panel, $3925 with free shipping, available through   UGallery .  It's Derby Week!! In the past, as the days before The Kentucky Derby approached, I would busy myself with daily paintings of race horses and equines. However, in 2015, my Derby Week experience was the penultimate dream - I spent it in Louisville, being feted as the Official Artist of the Kentucky Derby. The entire year was a marvelous opportunity, from the out-of-the-blue phone call offering me the project, to months of research and painting surreptitiously, to the reveal party at Churchill the November prior, then a presentation at the Kentucky Derby Museum during their birthday gala in April, and finally experiencing Derby Week first hand as a special guest. I will always be grateful to the powers that be for delivering the best project at the best moment in my life - Clare and Pat, you have special spots in my heart. Here's the link to a photo essay of my j...

Red Roses

"Red Roses," 24" x 30", acrylics, charcoal and ink on panel, a portrait of my first studio muse, Miah, crowned with red spray roses. Hard to believe she's been gone 8 years now..... She would have owned this look in real life. "Red Roses" is $699 and will go to the first asking nicely. Inquiries may always come  to me . Also, I have started  "Briar Rose," inspired by the same bouquet of roses topping Miah's portrait. Gotta get some mileage out of these blooms before they are too faded and wilty. Arctic Roses

"Arctic Roses," 24" x 30", acrylics on panel, featuring a howling white wolf amid a mass of ivory tea roses. This one can be yours for $599, including complimentary shipping inside the US (also, as with all my work, payment plans are an option). Inquiries may come  to me . If you follow me on Facebook , you've gotten peeks at some of the other critters in the studio, including a ginormous rhinocerous.
