I need to learn more about the Inuit community and their ties to these bears - someone told me that it's rather mystical. I'd like to understand it better myself - and perhaps that will make me a better painter, too, of these delightfully engaging animals. Also, Friday (only two more wakeups!!), at 10am eastern, I will be doing a live painting demo in   my online classroom . I will have multiple cameras set up (both my easel and palette/work surface), giving each student a front row seat from the comfort of their own home, as I share - with real time q&a - how I respond to my world and turn

I will have multiple cameras set up (both my easel and palette/work surface), giving each student a front row seat from the comfort of their own home, as I share - with real time q&a - how I take my own goosebumps (like experiencing a flock of cardinals flying around me yesterday) and turn them into paintings. This demo is offered via zoom webinars; participants must have zoom installed on their devices and be enrolled in the Real Time tier of   my patreon . All Real Time online students will have access to watching the demo live, along with a recorded version of the presentation. Real Time participation costs

NEW PAINTING Out on a Limb

"Out on a Limb," 24" x 18", acrylics and graphite on panel, $799 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Returning collectors get 10% off. I accept Paypal, personal checks and payment plans.   Please message me.   Continuing to be inspired by the deep snow and the flurry of bird activity in our yard, I took what I learned while painting   "Three,"   and began several other pieces. I'm also working on a large commission that is simply blowing my mind in a good way - which I love to have happen!! Thanks for following along on my painting journey. Stay well, Fondly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Three

"Three," 24" x 36" x 1", acrylics and graphite on gallery wrapped canvas, painting image wrapped around sides. $1899 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Returning collectors get 10% off. I accept Paypal, personal checks and payment plans.   Please message me. We got plenty of snow last night, and that meant delaying starting my day to dig us out. Which truly upset me at the time, because after   yesterday's painting , I was dying to get in the studio and start pushing paint. But something happened. While I was shoveling (and muttering under my breath about why it seemed like a good idea back in July to sell our snow blower in the garage sale), I noticed the lace like patterns of bare branches agains the fresh snow. And the birds were huddled together, in the densest part of the trees and shrubs, giving me a piece of their minds, too. So that is what I painted today. And there just might be more of these. It's sort of like a Daydream painting, but

NEW PAINTING Mother Time

"Mother Time," 18" x 24", acrylics and graphite on flat panel, $799 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Returning collectors get 10% off. I accept Paypal, personal checks and payment plans.   Please message me.   As the snow literally flies, a polar bear materialized on my easel. She has a blue eye, representing the night, and a gold one for the dawn. HInts of pink, green, orange and purple speak to the seasons that will reveal themselves (sooner, rather than later, I hopw). This is Mother Time. My   online students  are getting a video-ed lesson on the creation of this painting. You are always welcome to join us, and watch how these sorts of things come to life. Thanks for following along on my painting journey. Meanwhile, stay out of this miserable weather and pour yourself something warm. Stay well, Fondly, Kim

NEW PAINTING War Bonnet

"War Bonnet (a reworked version ofTraveler)," 20" x 30", acrylics and graphite with a wee bit of collage on gallery stretched canvas, painting wrapped around the sides, $999 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Returning collectors get 10% off. I accept Paypal, personal checks and payment plans.   Please message me.   I always say that if a painting sticks around long enough, it's a candidate for a rework of some sort. Traveler, which I shared  earlier last week, appeared a little out of balance in the days after posting, and I brought her to my weekly critique. They had some interesting suggestions about how I might carry the idea further and express myself more clearly. Today, in between meetings (yes, even artists can sit in zoom meetings all day long!), I got out the brushes and had another go. And this is where I ended up. To me this takes the idea of a spirit guide quite a bit further - instead of merely being at one's shoulder, this talisman is

NEW PAINTING Foxy

Kimberly Kelly Santini   paintings with soul because our world needs more beauty   "Foxy" 18" x 24" x 1-1/2", acrylics and graphite on a lovely, deep, gallery stretched canvas, painting wrapped around the sides, $899 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Returning collectors get 10% off. I accept Paypal, personal checks and payment plans.   Please message me.   So this fox showed up in an earlier painting ( Rabbit and Fox) , and I knew she wasn't done with me. Sure enough, last week she got drawn overtop an unresolved ballerina/dance/siren painting, and ever since then, she has had me beguiled. What is the message she's sending? I think I figured out what she was trying to tell me - to stop overthinking and questioning too much, and to just do. What do you suppose she's telling you, though? Thanks for following along on my painting journey. Stay well, Fondly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Untamed

"Untamed," 24" x 36" x 1-1/2", acrylics and graphite with a wee bit of collage on gallery stretched canvas, painting wrapped around the sides, $1899 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. Returning collectors get 10% off. I accept Paypal, personal checks and payment plans.   Please message me.   "You are a goddamn  cheetah . Brave means living from the inside out. Brave means, in every uncertain moment, turning inward, feeling for the Knowing, and speaking it out loud. If you are uncomfortable—in deep pain, angry, yearning, confused—you don't have a problem, you have a life." Glennon Doyle Has anyone else been reading - and re-reading - their copy of   Untamed ? (and if you haven't read it yet, who's keeping you from doing so?!) Glennon talks about women as cheetahs regularly, and it's a visual I lean on when I'm feeling a little wobbly. I am a cheetah. Cheetahs don't wobble, they look things directly in the eye.  So when c
