NEW PAINTING Prescience

  "Prescience", 12" x 16", acrylics, collage and graphite on artboard, available to the first asking nicely for $499 plus s&h (thank you in advance). To me it whispers comfort - there's ghosts present, or spirits or a presence of sorts. The ground is heaving and the sky is thick with smoke, but they have it all under control. FROM THE ARCHIVES She Bows Her Head

In honor of what should be Kentucky Derby Week, I am sharing my original equine work, which is something I've done this time every year since 2007. "She Bows Her Head and Honors the Light in All of Us," 24"x30", acrylics on panel, $899 plus s&h. This painting is cleated and wired on the backside, so the buyer has the option of hanging it floating-style on the wall. It can also be framed. "Dude," 9" x 12", acrylics on museum quality panel, depicting a delightful red and white cow (I am so not an expert on bovines - what breed cow is this?), $469 to the first one asking nicely. Today, Tulsa brought yoga with a lovely sunrise, inexplicably perfect macaroons and tea from Paris (in an Oklahoma based bakery), artisanal pizza served with Australian wine, some sort of street fighting that celebrates Cinco de Mayo, the Philbrook Museum (and a long overdue conversation with Bougereau, Sargeant and Henri), a lovely evening with a new friend enjoying her home and her fab art collection, both lunch and dinner al fresco, a gorgeous late afternoon stroll through an equally gorgeous historic neighborhood, loving on some most excellent dogs, a successful couple hours pushing paint, and cementing friendships with a few wonderful artists.
