Showing posts with the label fox kit

Service Berry

check her out, make her yours 12x12, acrylic on panel, private collection (thank you so much).   I don’t often take on commissions, but this one ticked all the boxes for me. Also, I told my collectors that I was approaching their concept of Fox in the woodland like a gentle suggestion as opposed to a static list of bullet points that, for me, can stifle the joy of the painting process. After over a decade of nearly daily pet portraiture, I got a burned out on painting for others and guess I still am a bit tender. Nevertheless, Service Berry showed up as Fox Kit, initially dancing in a wreath of oak leaves collected from the back yard, before settling into her painted space. I made a reel of her progression and shared it to   my instagram . Available work is always listed on my website - I have   acrylic paintings , oil paintings ( animal centric   and   sky and floral ) and   smaller works on paper. I am so grateful for your interest in my art. Thank you so...

NEW PAINTING Tendril

Tendril, acrylic on panel, 24"x24", $1200 plus s&h   to the first asking nicely . Questions can always come  to me. One of my favorite spring hallmarks is the emergence of peonies. They first start as deep crimson tendrils, delicate leaves all twisted up together, waiting for the warmth of the sun to coax them out. The leaves green up, spread out and begin to take up space from their first full inhalation. Then the buds emerge like closed fists, growing slowly into bubblegum orbs, before the little dancing feet of ants cause them to unfurl. I tried to capture all of these stages, from the earliest shoots to the heavy opened blooms, in this painting. And of course there had to be a little fox kit tucked in, too, soaking up their fragrance while snticipating her next move. You can see Tendril in greater detail  here,  where there is also a link to purchase.  Let me know if you would like a payment plan (30% non refundable deposit with the balance plus s...

NEW PAINTING Red Pine

"Red Pine," 24"x30", acrylic on panel. This painting may be offered at a future date with a small collection of similar pieces.  Reach out   with any questions and thanks so much for your interest in my artwork. Red Pine. She's packed with magic. Can I attribute it to the moon water I drank this morning before my painting session? or is it a product of visualizing the tree circle (of pines) in my back yard when I came to the easel? or did she show up because I have been doing so (showing up at my easel) for the last 20+ years? it doesn't matter the how, because she's here now, and I'm in awe. There are spirits and energies all around us, if we dare to pay attention. Here's a little   video short   about how she came about. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work, With peace, Kim
