I accept personal checks, paypal, venmo and payment plans. Inquiries can always come to   me . Inspired by a favorite song -   "Smallest Light," by Ingrid Michelson Break my heart Break my hands You can take anything but my plans Ooh ooh I got big things to do You can laugh, Have your fun I'll be standing right here when you're done Ooh ooh I got big things to do Just because you don't see us Doesn't mean that we don't exist Sometimes the smallest light Shines so bright Yeah, sometimes the smallest light shines so bright I got heart, it's enough It's the only thing left that they can't pull apart And when they try, I'll fly I can't win, there's a cost You can't lose what you've already lost Ooh ooh I got big things to do J...

Waiting for Santa

"Waiting for Santa," 8" x 10", acrylics on museum quality panel, depicting my blue heeler mix Finnigan lounging in My Better Half's quilt draped club chair, $469. In process pics are here . And inquiries may come to me - I'd love to share a little cattle dog craziness with another household! Every year I do a holiday painting  - Mona's inspired the last three (how did THAT happen?), so Finnigan's been way more than patient for his turn on the easel. Thanks, as always, for keeping me company, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

In the WIngs

AT TOP, completed, and below in process, "In the Wings," 8" x 10", a portrait of The Princess in one of her ballet costumes, painted in acrylics on museum quality panel. Inquiries may come  to me  - I'm not sure I'll be able to part with this one, despite having many paintings of her already. This is what I accomplished late last nite. Again, I challenged myself to paint the light. Of course, there were other challenges too. A football scrimmage, dance class, volunteer hours, orientation at two different school buildings. Never a dull moment in these parts. That's why I love my life so very much! In process pics on  the studio Facebook page . Thanks so much for following along with my work, Kim ksantini@turtledovedesigns.com

Daydream

"Daydream," roughly 9" x 14-1/2", done in acrylics on a museum quailty panel, portrait of Bear, one of my most popular muses - I don't think I'll ever get tired of painting him or his sister Nita (thank you, LH, for sharing them with me!!).   This painting is not currently on the market, but will be in several months. Interested parties, please  shoot me an email  for updates on "Daydream"s availability.   Additional views are posted inside the  Mobile Uploads folder on  the studio Facebook page .   My first challenge for this year is 30 days of painting focused on light - I've joined ranks with several hundred other creatives spurred on by artist  Leslie Saeta . Our goal is 30 paintings in 30 days. This is #3 for me.   Yesterday  Finnigan's portrait  was an experiment of patterning in shadow - Bear's is just the opposite. What fun these are - I have literally been...
