I miss my quiet days in the studio with my paints. But that doesn't mean I'm not creating! It used to be that I refused to touch any art supplies if I didn't have 3-4 hours to work uninterrupted. Three kids and a busy household taught me that no amount of meticulous planning or patient waiting would ever guarantee that. Blame it on the sunshine. Or the poor night's sleep I got. Or the outstanding news I received this morning (keep on reading).   Whatever the reason, I have little to no concentration and am flitting from one thing to another in the studio.   Tomorrow I will buckle down.   But meanwhile, I'll share some of Kiki Kelly's recent works. "Blooms I," 11" x 14", a mixed media painting by Kiki Kelly   I hope that your holidays were as delightful and magical as ours. We had some amazingly fun times with family and friends - and at home with ourselves, too. Lots of laughter, good eats (I need a chocolate cookie detox), a killer Bananagrams tourney, and even some most excellent football (way to go Michigan State Spartans!!).   And now it's back to work!!   I didn't get all the painting done that I planned on accomplishing over break, but there's still a small window of time before my most pressing of deadlines.
