"Hedgerow," 18x24x1", cradeled wood panel, acrylics and graphite, $849 plus s&h. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . This one has evolved all week, with various rabbits coming and going over the course of each painting session. I shared a number of images on   my Facebook page , and will be doing a more thorough explanation of my process in   my Patreon online classroom . But meanwhile, I'm going to sit and look at this painting, with her cloud bunny, and pretend it's not 300 degrees below zero outside today. Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Totem

"Totem," 18x24x1", gallery wrapped canvas, acrylics and graphite,$849 plus s&h. I accept paypal, venmo, personal checks and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . I'm not certain that this one qualifies as a Daydream, given that my inspiration subjects are a bit more representational, but this painting evolved from the same process and pulled on all the things the Daydreams have/are teaching me. Furthermore, Totem is a solid step in the direction I want to take my work in particular, lush with painterliness, imagination, sheer beauty and a storyline. Online classroom students  received an indepth video-ed discussion of this painting and the ah-ha moment it delivered. Later this week they will be getting my final thoughts on the composition and a sneak peek at what will hit my easel next. Classroom participation is via   Patreon,   where $5/month unlocks exclusive rewards. If you are seeking a deeper dive into my process and studio opera

NEW PAINTING Incarnate (Daydream 44)

"Incarnate (Daydream 44)," 30x30x2", gallery wrapped canvas, acrylics and graphite, image painted/extended around wrap so no need to frame, $1499 plus s&h. Available through March 6th via   Starkweather Art Center . Inquiries may always come  to me . It's been a busy last couple of weeks outside the studio, between exhibition openings, guild meetings, artwork delivery and pickup, and critique sessions. I have not been able to get to the easel as much as I would like, but this sort of activity fuels and motivates. There is inspiration that happens when one gets to view artwork in person and talk to other creators. And, of course, I love getting my work out into the world, too, always. I am so very thrilled and thankful to share that the above painting, Incarnate, was honored with a second place award at   Starkweather Arts' Center's   Membership Show, juried by Peter Gahan. I thoroughly enjoyed being a panelist at the   Paint Creek Center f

Happy Valentines Day

"David+Austin," 36" x 48", acrylics on a flat panel,   message me   for purchase details. Returning collectors receive 10% off. I accept paypel, venmo and payment plans. Inquiries on this painting and any others are always welcome, and may come  to me . I think it's silly how Valentines Day has become this be all end of of demonstrating romantic love. Why can we celebrate love all the time? Every single type of love, every single day? Thanks, as always, for following along with my artwork journey, Warmly, Kim

NEW PAINTING Song of Three (Daydream 43)

"Song of Three (Daydream 43)," (this one is incredibly difficult to photograph - there is so much glare from the layers - I'll have to take her outside on an overcast day and try again), 36x48x1", gallery wrapped canvas, acrylics and graphite, image painted/extended around wrap so no need to frame, $2499 plus s&h. Returning collectors receive 10% off. I accept paypel, venmo and payment plans. Inquiries may always come  to me . So over the last two years this particular canvas has had several iterations - one being layers of punk tulle, then there were some parrot tulips, and those, over the course of the last week, became primroses. That's the thing about painting intuitively - one is never fully in control of the outcome, merely channeling the ideas. In other related news, my blow dryer caught fire today while I was using it to dry this painting. Not sure if that was her way of stating her opinion...... Thanks, as always, for following along

STUDIO NEWS February 2020

Detail from my easel of a current, untitled, painting in process.  Studio News, February 2020 I am feeling crushed by our world right now. If my kids had behaved like some of our leaders, they would have lost their cell phones, bedroom doors would be off the hinges and they would be grounded for life. The news is depressing, exhausting, terrifying and misleading. I need to invite more happiness into my life to counteract world events. Turbulent times light a spark inside all of us, and artists respond with their creativity. Future generations will look back at the artwork from these years and have a better idea of what our times were like, because we artists are telling that story through our eyes (think of   Picasso's Guernica ). While pursuing my MFA many, many moons ago, my work was criticized for being too pretty. I know it - no matter how hard I try to bring more grit into my paintings, they ultimately reflect my (usually) rabid optimism. I realize now th
