Inspired by the coyotes or wolves (not sure now what they were exactly) that serenaded us while camping in Maine last month, this painting just sings. The autumnal colors dance across the surface like the bird in flight (do you see her?), and the eyes gently follow you. I have a soft spot for children's picture books, particularly those that were my own kiddos favorites. There's something so wonderful about curling up with a book - and a child, if you are so lucky.
