Questions can always come   my way . make her yours I thought she was done the week before Christmas, when our heavy blanket of snow from the prior two weeks was melting. Temperatures shifted to the 40s, with rain predicted. While I knew it wasn’t a true end-of-winter melt, spring couldn’t help but creep her way to the easel. I am a rabid optimist after all. However, I got my due. Today I added a bit more magic to her along with my signature, all while blizzard conditions raged outside. Which makes her all the more glorious - ...

Grit

24”x30”, acrylic on panel, $1300 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. View her in a room setting, get your nose right up into her business, or make her your own right   here . Grit is available to ship late December. Payment plans available on request - 30% non refundable deposit reserves the painting, with 12 months to pay off balance plus shipping and handling. Questions can always come   my way . make her yours This year is one for the books, that’s for sure. There’s a couple of words I could sum it up with, “grit” being one of them. I’ve infused Grit with marks, symbols, intentional color choices and other bits that tell the story of my 2025. I reckon there’s quite a few of you who will relate to this narrative yourselves. I had hoped to enter Grit in an exhibition, meaning she wouldn’t be for sale until the spring. But she wasn’t finished in time. Which I am interpreting as meaning someone out there - maybe it’s you? - need her more so than the venue or event might ha...

Pleiades

16”x20”, acrylic on panel, $850 plus s&h to the first taker, which you can do   right here   or by using the link below. Questions may always come   to me . make her yours I’ve had a good run at the easel lately. I’m enjoying painting the equine form quite a bit - there’s two more in the works still…… I was reading about the Moon and Pleiades’ (also known as the Seven Sisters) lunar occultation happening this evening. The shadow of the moon will fall over some of the stars in this constellation, temporarily blacking them out. I thought it was so cool! Then later I realized that this little painting, which had previously been just the horse and clouds, was the perfect candidate for a garland of stars. Chocolate Rose

16”x20”, acrylic on panel, $850 plus s&h to the first taker, which you can do   right here   or by using the button below. Questions may always come   to me . make her yours This is a fascinating piece/painting in that she has had multiple incarnations (meaning paintings or versions stacked overtop each other).   The Red Dress was one of my tree studies from winter 2022. Then she became   Star , which oddly enough I signed on December 5, 2022. Star morphed into   Champagne last winter when I was working on a series of floral filled equines. And on a recent blizzardy day I invited Champagne to the easel and she became Chocolate Rose. Each of the iterations has informed the next. I don’t totally wipe out/gesso overtop the prior painting - I simply start with a new idea and integrate it into what’s already on the surface. There’s added magic in getting to work overtop an older piece - yes, a wee bit of sadness in saying goodbye to what was there, but also ...

Questions may always come   to me . make her yours There’s an integral balance here - Horse birthing clouds while Sky holds her steady and Sun cradles and warms her neck. Reckoning

20”x20”, acrylic on 3/4” cradled panel (no need to frame), $1400 plus s&h to the first taker, which you can do  right here  or by using the button below. Questions may always come  to me . make her yours She sees the darkness, knows it’s of our own doing, and chooses to sit inside it with us. There was a crossroads with the recent painting  Canis Major  where she offered up two possible endings. The one I didn’t choose kept calling to me - I couldn’t walk away without knowing what a darker version of the concept would look like. Now I know. And one of my takeaways here is what might a more contrasting version of this look like. Guess I’ll have to return to the easel, darn it! Cacophony

36”x24”, acrylic on 1-1/2” cradled panel (no need to frame), $2000 plus s&h to the first taker, which you can do   right here   or by using the button below. Questions may always come   to me . This one’s been a few months in the making - she tested my patience. I can often be like a toddler, “more More MORE”! but that doesn’t serve the art in the end - it merely entertains me. I have to force myself to slow down, set the piece aside, and learn to savor or relish granting permission to return to her. Which is when I am still excited about the work ahead, but not stupidly so. Thank you so much for your interest in and support of my artwork. Canis Major

Questions may always come   to me . make her yours   admire her beauty As a kid I was spellbound by the stories behind the constellations. I felt more connected to them in an indescribably odd way than some of the branches on my family tree. Now it makes so much sense, but back then I didn’t know we were all made of stardust.
