Workshop Checklist

  • Prepare class timeline
  • Review exercises, verify demos for each - if not on hand, create, tag, and include
  • Review slideshow/presentation materials - update as needed
  • Refresh bibliography and assemble workbooks
  • Print out extra worksheets
  • Pack props, including candies and treats (purchase fresh)
  • Pack tools, brushes, paints, panels
  • Revise and print out scripts for directed content
  • Prepare demo references
  • Select finished paintings to match/illustrate lesson plans - wrap carefully
  • Verify destination - program GPS
  • Pack personal effects
  • Review 100 times and make sure nothing's been forgotten
  • Stop on way there and purchase whatever's been forgotten
Wednesday I collect Elizabeth St Hilaire Nelson from the airport, and we head to Traverse City together (she's teaching this weekend too). Thursday the madness begins for both of us and our "kids."
 
I get tingley just thinking about it - I love teaching!
 
There's room for another body or two if you are able tojoin us last minute!! Or can't make the four days? then consider coming to Friday nite's marketing presentation.

This is Shadow, who went missing on Sunday night. He belongs to a friend of mine, and has been a fixture in our community for many years. Errant fireworks scared the silly old guy into running off, and his family is busy searching for him. (If you happen to be in the Lake Orion/Oakland County area and have seen Shadow, please call 248-391-0867 or 248-391-6817) I’m confidant that he is safe (somewhere!) and awaiting discovery, but meanwhile, couldn’t help myself from posting his portrait as today’s dog a day painting .
