"Pile," 12" x16", commissioned portrait of a litter of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, done in acrylics on a museum quality panel, to be available at a future date.
"When?" you ask. Let me tell you when.
This painting was commissioned with the intent of donating it to the American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel specialty show in Arizona this April. The painting will be auctioned off by Westminster's own David Frei, with the monies going into a trust that funds canine health resarch.
If you are interested in bidding, please let me know, and I will connect you with those putting the event together.
And meanwhile, many, many thanks to my big-hearted client for coordinating such a special painting!
In process pictures are on the studio's Facebook page.
Thanks so much for following along!!

The cover of "A Dog Named Blue," now available from Blurb publishers. When I first painted Amelia I never imagined that she would be re-christened "Blue" and inspire a book. In her defense, Amelia had a number of other partners in crime - animals who's portraits seemed to fall into a specific color category and prompt color-centric names. I shared my idea with three friends in the industry, and they eagerly offered their expertise. I am truly indebted to them. Illustrator and author Matt Faulkner and children's book author and literacy expert Kristen Remenar edited an early version of the draft. They suggested key plot/conceptual changes that made it oodles better. Designer Elizabeth St. Hilaire Nelson worked her magic, pairing the images with perfectly color...
C'est véritablement une très belle peinture... Une très belle cause également...
