This painting is one of my all time favorites. And I've been pleased as punch (isn't that an odd saying?!) that she's still with me. I'm not going to question it because I get to enjoy and love on her every single day until she finds a home.

Also this painting was a seed piece, the source of inspiration for the painting I shared yesterday, "Viola" (and thank you so much for your enthusiasm in welcoming Viola to my portfolio!).

As to the title, I love asking myself odd questions, like what non verbal objects, say a particular color, would sound like. Or trying to imagine how a piece of music might taste - for example, what sorts of flavors might Nina Simone's "I Put a Spell on You" carry? I can tell you it would be smoooooth, with pops of something unexpected. Sweetness? something tart, that lingers about the back of your mouth? yes, they are odd questions to ask, but I've learned that the odd questions are the ones with the most revealing answers.
