NEW PAINTING Exhale

"Exhale," 24"x20", acrylic and water solubles on a flat panel, $849 plus s&h to the first asking nicely. I accept paypal and personal checks - please reach out directly with your questions.

This piece will forever be known to me as the lion who became a lioness. Or maybe she was a lioness all along, and I was merely confused at the onset. More to ponder as I set off to stretch a new big canvas and think about the paintings Exhale is already inspiring.

I also want to mention that next year I will be changing how I offer work for sale. I will be offering small collections, maybe 5-6 related paintings, at the same time (instead of piecemeal, like how I do things now, a habit left over from my daily painting days), and they will be available to purchase directly through my website or via gallery representation.

I will continue to share and announce new works as they come off my easel, but for a predictable and fair acquisition experience, I will schedule and announce availability of originals via my socials, newsletter and blog. Hopefully this will make it easier for collectors to grab one - or more - instead of relying on social media algorithms and luck of the draw. Thank you so much for your interest in my work!

Thanks, as always, for following along on my painting journey,

Be well,
Fondly, Kim

I need to learn more about the Inuit community and their ties to these bears - someone told me that it's rather mystical. I'd like to understand it better myself - and perhaps that will make me a better painter, too, of these delightfully engaging animals. Also, Friday (only two more wakeups!!), at 10am eastern, I will be doing a live painting demo in   my online classroom . I will have multiple cameras set up (both my easel and palette/work surface), giving each student a front row seat from the comfort of their own home, as I share - with real time q&a - how I respond to my world and turn

Brave means, in every uncertain moment, turning inward, feeling for the Knowing, and speaking it out loud. If you are uncomfortable—in deep pain, angry, yearning, confused—you don't have a problem, you have a life." Glennon Doyle Has anyone else been reading - and re-reading - their copy of   Untamed ? (and if you haven't read it yet, who's keeping you from doing so?!) Glennon talks about women as cheetahs regularly, and it's a visual I lean on when I'm feeling a little wobbly. I am a cheetah. Cheetahs don't wobble, they look things directly in the eye.  So when c

It was a fabulous chance for us to learn about all the little details of this new property and get to know the couple who had lived here. While My Better Half was off learning about the sprinkler systems and the furnace, I got a tour of the property, the plantings and an introduction to the "neighbors." There's the 7 deer who bed down in the tree circle, Lucy the possum who does the walk of shame each morning when she returns home after a wild night on the town, James the groundhog, who has both a summer home and a winter den. Agatha the bat and the Chi
